Traveling home to Illinois from NOLA in July 2024, my co-workers and I stopped here for lunch on a whim. It was wonderful and we knew we had to bring our large group to Cate Street in July 2025 when we were back in the area. We had a group of 25 and were allowed to make a reservation in advance (an easy process of requesting the reservation online, and then I was phoned later that day to confirm). We had 20 youth and 5 adults. The menu is extraordinary -- they have something for everyone (which is why we wanted to stop). About half of our group ordered sushi and it did not disappoint. The other half ordered from the menu (pasta, steak, salads, chicken). The high school youth ALL said it was delicious. I wish I lived closer, I'd eat their sushi every week!! The owner stopped by our table and talked with us for quite a while. He was genuinely nice and asked a lot of questions about our group and our travels. If my travels ever take me back to Louisiana, I'd stop by in a heartbeat.
